Based on Stripe's published rates, with the per-transaction fee and a 0.25% all-in allowance included. Settld beats your all-in rate by at least 0.82%.

Estimated all-in rates use each provider's published standard US rates as of November 2026 (base rate plus per-transaction fee at your average sale, plus any monthly fees), estimated interchange-plus pricing for Chase and Elavon custom plans, Worldpay, Global Payments and Adyen (interchange and network fees + processor markup + per-transaction fee + monthly minimum), an industry average for traditional merchant accounts, and an allowance (0.25%, or 0.10% for Adyen) for add-on fees not included in headline pricing. When you enter your statement total, your actual fees are used and no allowance is added. Your actual savings depend on card mix, pricing plan and fees on your statement. Settld pricing is confirmed after a free statement review and subject to underwriting approval.

How we compare

The rates behind the math.

Top line: each provider's published base rate plus its per-transaction fee. Bold line: the estimated all-in rate we use — the per-transaction fee converted to a percentage at a $75 average sale, plus a 0.25% allowance for the fees that don't show up in the headline rate.

Base rateThe percentage the provider advertises, such as 2.9%.
+ Per-transaction feeThe flat fee on every sale, such as 30¢. On a $75 sale, 30¢ adds 0.40%.
+ Monthly feesGateway or account fees spread across your monthly volume.
+ 0.25% all-in allowanceChargebacks, refunds, premium and rewards cards, international cards, PCI and other add-on fees.
= Estimated all-in rateWhat you really pay per dollar processed. Settld beats this by at least 0.82% on flat-rate plans.

FAQ

Savings questions.

It's everything you paid in processing fees last month divided by your card volume. A "2.9% + 30¢" plan on a $25 average sale is really 4.10% once the 30¢ is counted. Add the fees that never make the headline — chargebacks, refunds, premium and international cards, PCI — and it's closer to 4.35%. Our estimate adds a 0.25% allowance for those fees to every published rate, so the number you see is the number you actually pay. If you enter your statement total, we use your exact rate instead.

We price every merchant from their real statement. If you're on a flat-rate plan — Stripe, Square, PayPal, QuickBooks and others — your Settld quote shows an all-in rate at least 0.82 percentage points below what you pay today. If you're on custom interchange-plus pricing with a bank or enterprise processor, it's at least 0.25 to 0.35 points lower, depending on the processor. Every fee is listed up front.

On interchange-plus, most of what you pay is interchange — the fee set by Visa, Mastercard and the card-issuing banks. No processor can lower it. What can change is the processor's markup and the fees on top, and that's what we cut. If you're with Chase or Elavon and not sure which plan you're on, check your statement: if interchange is listed as its own line, you're on custom pricing.
